Cleveland Sands: New menu, Steak Sandwich

I saw a sign outside the Cleveland Sands hotel that said

New Chef
New Menu

I looked over the new snack bar menu. A lot of prices had gone up. No longer $7.95 and $8.95 meals. There was a greater range and some interesting menu items.

I decided to try the Steak Sandwich.

I thought it was more of a steak bun than sandwich but it was very tasty nonetheless. A nice tender piece of steak, salad and a nice sauce. Not bad at all. I hope to go back and try out more of the menu sometime soon.

Cleveland Sands Hotel - Matt Breen band (live) and quiche

I was on Facebook and I saw a post from the Cleveland Sands Hotel about an upcoming event.

Matt Breen (and band) would be performing on the Queens Birthday eve.

I clicked 'going' and excitedly waited for Sunday to arrive. At 7.00pm hubby Phil and I arrived in the public bar and saw the The Bootleggers setting  up with Matt. The show didn't start until 7.30pm. When they did, it was magic.

 I decided to grab a bar meal from the list of snacks. I hadn't tried their quiche yet so decided to choose that. It was tasty and filled the spot. The band was amazing.

Cleveland Sands hotel bar meals

The Cleveland Sands is located in Middle Street, Cleveland. A short stroll from Woolworths and Coles, and also from the Cleveland railway station and lovely Raby Bay marina. A hotel with bar, restaurant, live music, pokie machines and beer garden.

They also have bar meals under $10.

[ Steak sandwich $8.95 - Beef burger $7.95 - Lasagne $9.95 - Pork Bangers
 $9.95 - Quiche $8.95 - Rissoles $9.95 - Fish and Chips $8.95 ]

I have tried everything but the quiche and my favourite would have to be the lasagne, chips & salad for $9.95. Delicious!

On a Sunday they have live music in the beer garden. Solo artists such as Mike Blundell below.

Great value meals at low prices. You can eat it in the bar area or in the beer garden with (slight) views of Raby Bay marina. Kid friendly.
