Sails on Shore Summer Pronto Lunch specials


Redlands RSL's Sails on Shore Restaurant has a new Pronto menu. Available Monday to Saturday they are all $10 for members and $13 for non-members.

Redlands RSL: Live Music, Roast Pork, Fruit and Chocolate Fondue

Another visit to Redlands RSLfor some  Live Music and a visit to Sails on Shore bistro.



The Roast of the Day is pork, which sounds good to both my husband and me.

Redlands RSL: Choc Peppermint Tim Tam cocktail and Barramundi crusted with macadamias

It's New Years Eve and we decide to catch the courtesy bus to Redlands RSL in Cleveland, QLD Australia. A live band is advertised and there is the Sails on Shore bistro to dine in. I spy a sign that says Cocktails (sorry it's so blurred in the photo).


One of the Cocktails is a Choc Peppermint Tim Tam Cocktail


I peruse the menu and choose the Barramundi crusted with macadamias. Yumm! I was so excited that I forgot to take a photo until it was half eaten - oops! The fish is well cooked and the macadamia crust is very nice. It comes with vegetables including potato and leek.

Redlands RSL: Ribs, New Orleans Cajun Seafood curry

Another Date Night, this time a Friday. We decided to go up to the RSL and listen to some live music and have a meal. It's so hard to choose from the extensive menu but this caught my eye


[ New Orleans Cajun Marinated Reef Fish, Scallops, Tender Calamari, Prawns & Mussels. . . . . . . . . Members $24.9 Non-Members $27.9 Finished with yellow curry bourbon coconut sauce ]

It was delicious and very filling. The poppadoms were crunchy and nice to dip into the curry sauce.

Hubby  chose the special - bbq ribs

Redlands RSL, Cleveland - Roast of the day $10.90

Saturday night and I felt like kicking up my heels and listening to some music. I called the Redlands RSL courtesy bus and made it in time for the band to start


Feeling hungry we decided to grab a table an head to The Sails on Shore bistro and order a meal. 

Hubby likes his roast so he decided on a roast beef and veggies - only $10.90 member price

[ $10.95 roast beef and vegetables ]
 I love my seafood and a good ceasar salad so this menu item took my eye. The best of both worlds. A ceasar salad with scallops and prawns in a garlic butter sauce.

Redlands RSL, Cleveland - Sand crab fettuccine gluten free pasta from Sails on Shore Bistro


Another Saturday night grooving to the music at Redlands RSL in Cleveland.

I tried a new wine - sparkling sav blanc spritz with ginger and green tea. Yumm!

Tonight we had sand crab fettuccine (gluten-free) and crumbed lamb brains. Yumm!

I enjoyed my sand crab fettucini but it was difficult finding the sand crab because it was in small pieces. Hubby Philip enjoyed his crumbed lamb brains. He is awfully fond of offal. 

The band was amazing and we had a great night, taking a courtesy cab home.

Redlands RSL - Seafood chowder and lamb shanks

Another Saturday night at Redlands RSL to listen to the band and enjoy a meal at the Sail on the Shore bistro.

Tonight I decided to splurge on a seafood chowder.

Served in a handmade cobb loaf and garnished with a mussel.  Every last morsel was tasty. 

Hubby loves his lamb shanks so it was a no-brainer when he saw them on the specials paper what his choice was going to be.

Redlands RSL, Sails on Shore - seafood mixed grill

A visit to the Redlands RSL and as a seafood fan my eyes boggle when I see the seafood mixed grill on the specials menu. Crab legs, prawns,  fish, squid, mussels and more. Served with chips and salad.
