Sunshine on the Bay: Live Music, Pumpkin and Macadamia Soup, Tapas

I was on Facebook and saw a post by Sunshine on the Bay promoting their Tapas and Live Music night. The lovely Courtenay Heaton was performing her sweet music, soft and relaxing.

We perused the tablet-based menus and chose to start with Pumpkin and Macadamia Soup.

Afterwards we ordered some tapas, but my phone died so I will have to leave it to your imagination.

Scallops in Half Shell – 2 x large (roe off) sea scallops baked in half shell w/ a fresh oregano, roasted garlic, onion & piquillo peppers. (GF) 6

Rabas – 4 x freshly battered calamari fritos served w/ lemon & garlic aioli. 6

Salted Cod Croquetas – 2 x homemade crumbed delights served w/ garlic aioli. 6

Muffin Break - Coffee and Cake

After shopping in Capalaba Park I decided to treat myself to some coffee and cake at Muffin Break. The mocha was delicious, as was the cake. Very satisfying. Now back to more shopping!

Thai Siam, Cleveland: Roast Curry Duck, Seafood with Oyster Sauce

It's Friday night date night again and a visit to our favourite, the Thai Siam.

The lovely Josh takes our order

A firm favourite Thai meal is Red Curry Duck. It is just so flavoursome and hearty. I've eaten duck so many times you think I'd be quackers! Sorry for the pun.

Hubby chose some seafood in oyster sauce. Something he felt would be kind to his stomach. It was very nice - I had a taste.

The lovely Anna Luan
