Sunday May 24th I made my way down to the Cleveland Markets in Bloomfield Street, Cleveland. Open every Sunday from 6am until 1pm the markets have a great range of fruit and vegetable stalls as well as clothing, jewellery, carved wood items, hardware items, and more.
I fell in love with a Rainbow Dress ($25) but the money in my purse was for fruit and vegetables only. I have been making fruit salad to eat daily and I had a large chicken ready for some chicken and vegetable soup, perfect for these cold Autumn days and nights.
Most bags were $2 each which is great value. I was excited at the size of the carrots, that there were plums available, passionfruit, green apples, avocados, beetroot, leeks , zucchini, lemons, corn, parsnip, pak toy, pineapples (3 for $4), pumpkins (3 for $4), yellow squash and bananas. A great haul!
